She did modeling before she began her acting career. The final result was winning an award at the Miss Sweden Contest. Following her move to the US she started performing in a variety of films, playing small parts. Her first appearance was in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars as the role of a Venusian. In the following year, after appearing as a newcomer for the film Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most exciting category.
